When is the Event?
The race is on Saturday May 14, 2022.  

 

Where is the Event?
Registration, packet pick-up, start/finish, awards and the after party all take place at The High Lonesome Ranch. The High Lonesome Ranch is approximately 10 miles from the town of De Beque, located at 0275 County Road 222, De Beque, CO 81630.

 

How can I confirm my entry?
You may confirm your entry into the event by going to BikeReg.com and checking the Confirmed Riders List or by emailing eventsupport@outsideevents.com.

 

I would like to transfer my entry to someone else, how does that work?
You may transfer your entry on BikeReg.com until April 14 for a fee of $25.  

 

I need to edit my entry on BikeReg, my name is spelled wrong. How do I do that?
You may edit your registration information through BikeReg.com.  The deadline for making changes is April 14.

 

Where and when is Packet Pick-Up?
On Friday, May 13 packet pick-up will take place directly across the road from the rodeo grounds in an old school house. Hours are 5 – 9 p.m.

 On Saturday, May 14 race credentials may be picked up outside the main ranch house. Hours are 6 – 8 a.m.

 

When does the race start and what are the wave start times?
The event is a mass start and commences at 8 a.m.

 

Is there camping?
Yes, camping will be available.  Check out our lodging page for details. 

 

Do I need to make a reservation for camping if I have my own gear or camper?
You do not need a reservation for camping, there is plenty of room for everyone. 

 

When can I set up camp?
Camping check in begins on Friday, May 13 at 5:00 p.m. You will not be allowed to set up any earlier, so please plan your arrival accordingly.

 

What time do I have to leave on Sunday?
All campsites must be packed up and cleaned no later than 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

 

Can I have my own campfire?
Personal campfires are not permitted.

 

Can my family/friends join me at the ranch if they aren’t racing?
Your family and friends are welcome to join you for the weekend.

 

What activities will take place after the race?
Post-race, there will be live music, a bike expo, beer garden and BBQ. The HLR staff will lead fly casting and stationary steer roping demonstrations or you may just relax poolside or by the firepit. Stick around for the podium presentation and Friends of the Mustang check presentation at 3:30 p.m. 

 

Do I need a gravel bike to race in this event?
You do not need a gravel bike, you are welcome to use a mountain bike. Decide on a race strategy and pick your stead. 

 

Are e-bikes allowed?
No, e-bikes are not permitted for this race.

 

Where do I pick up pre-ordered merchandise?
Pre-ordered merchandise will be given to you with your race packet.

 

Can I exchange pre-ordered merchandise for a different size?
Please visit the merchandise booth and we will be happy to make an exchange if we have the correct size.  

 

Can I add merchandise to my registration?
You may add merchandise to your registration until April 14 by logging onto your account with BikeReg.com.

 

Are dogs allowed?
We ask that you leave your pets at home for the comfort and safety of the pets and the participants.

 

Can I pick up a packet for a friend or family member?
You are welcome to pick up race packets for friends or family without making any special arrangements.
