Roll Massif heads to Red River, New Mexico for Enchanted Circle

Colorado’s premiere cycling sportive series visits New Mexico for a ride through majestic areas in the southwest

Boulder, Colorado (Red River, NM)— August 23, 2021 — Roll Massif, a part of Outside Inc., and collection of Colorado-based cycling events, will host the Enchanted Circle Bicycle Tour in Red River this Saturday, August 28, to celebrate the end of summer with two scenic courses – 85-mile loop or 100-mile century ride – post-ride festivities and more, offering a true taste of Northern New Mexico.

Riders from 21 states and riders ages 10 to 79 will journey through some of the most spectacular peaks in New Mexico. The Enchanted Circle Bicycle Tour travels counterclockwise around the beautiful Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway and features two passes in Palo Flechado and Bobcat. The course will start and finish in the Town of Red River, and travel through the Village of Questa, Town of Taos and Village of Eagle Nest and peak at an elevation of 9,820 feet on Bobcat Pass. Participants will have the opportunity to ride some of the most picturesque areas in the southwest experiencing rewarding climbs, rolling hills, fast descents and hairpin turns. Course support includes route signage, law enforcement / medical, road marshals, SAGs, and fully stocked aid stations, to include bike mechanics.

By participating in Enchanted Circle, riders will also be supporting the Red River Valley Foundation. The Red River Valley Foundation (RRVF) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of and visitors to the Red River Valley. To achieve that mission, they make grants to non-profit, civic and philanthropic organizations in a variety of areas. The tour will also support a number of local nonprofit organizations who help with services such as aid stations, road marshals and registration. Online registration is now closed, however, walk-on registrations are welcome at the Red River Conference Center on Friday, August 27 from 4 – 8 p.m. and ride day from 6 – 7:30 a.m.

● Cost to ride: $100 – $115 includes Enchanted Circle T-Shirt ,refreshments, support on the course,
and a post ride fiesta.

Following the ride, you will be treated to a Taco Bar courtesy of Shotgun Willie’s and live entertainment by JJ & the Hooligans. Our friends at Red River Brewing – a locally owned and family run business – will provide beer and cocktails to quench your thirst and delight your palate. We ask motorists to please use caution and expect some minor delays in the area highways of State 38, State 522, US 64 and State 434.
