ALPINE CYCLING CLASSIC
AUGUST 6, 2022
COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO
A COLORADO CLASSIC
We start high in the Rocky Mountains and only go up from there.
Based at Copper Mountain Resort in the heart of the Rockies, the famous Copper Triangle is a cycling classic.
This road ride is graced with breathtaking scenery, gorgeous roads and three climbs over 10,000 feet. The 79-mile loop crests three Colorado mountain passes – Fremont Pass (Elev. 11,318’), Tennessee Pass (Elev. 10,424’) and Vail Pass (Elev. 10,662’) – for a total elevation gain of 6,500 feet.
New in 2022 – a friendly QOM & KOM of Vail Pass. Race your friends, race pros, race the clock. Podium presentations will take place for the top three women and men.
The Copper Triangle exemplifies road cycling in the Rockies. Join us for our 16th anniversary on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
Make a special weekend of the Copper Triangle and enjoy the splendor of the Rocky Mountains in the comforts of Copper Mountain Resort. This world-class resort is offering cyclists and their friends/family special lodging rates at the majority of their properties.
The route incorporates three ski areas, is littered with historic mining outposts and includes Camp Hale, the training ground for the famous 10th Mountain Division. The total elevation gain for the course is 6,500 ft. It’s one epic day in the saddle.
Stick around after your ride for our Alpine Celebration and lunch. Enjoy live entertainment and a beer garden, while checking out the latest cycling gear, accessories and products.
