What are our events? Are they rides or races? The answer. Experiences. You get to choose your own adventure and ride at whatever pace you like. You can take any timed segment as seriously or as frivolously as you like. Even if you choose to ride hard and fast, we encourage you to stop and take in the scenery and enjoy the company of your friends.
What we believe
Life is about experiences, not things.
Riding bikes makes things better: our mood, our health, our world.
Also, Colorado & New Mexico rock!
We believe in cycling. We believe in the momentum of the group – physically and psychologically. At Outside Events, we focus on four things:
Courses — From the high desert to Alpine passes to private ranches, we roll our favorite places.
Camaraderie — Bonding happens on the bike. We don’t have categories; you ride with whomever you like.
Challenge — It’s not going to be easy. It’s going to be worth it.
Community —Decades of experience extends beyond the ride itself. Local beer, wine, food & music? We got you. Education, stewardship, exhibitors and ancillary events. Check.

Tracy wasn’t born in Colorado, but she got here as fast as she could – at age 4. Tracy has been working Tour de Vineyards for 13 years, and many of the others for 8. At our sportives, you can always find Tracy’s smiling face at registration and merchandise. Away from work, you can find her on the golf course or hiking with her dog.

Scotty has 17 years experience running professional events, beginning with ski races in Vail back in 2005 before moving to cycling with Rocky Mountain Events (2006-17). Have you done Copper Triangle or Tour of the Moon? Scotty helped create those. For this Coloradan, there is nothing more rewarding than helping riders create lifelong memories on the bike.
Colin was born and raised in Colorado and has worked in the event world for over 8 years. He has coordinated and managed a diverse variety of events from the Warren Miller international ski film tour, to the 200 mile running events of Ragnar Relay. When not working events, Colin can be found exploring Colorado on a pair of skis, a set of wheels, or floating down a river with a fly rod in hand.
